Restraint & Seclusion and IEP Clinic

 

 

Learn about what restraint and seclusion really are and the possible dangers and risks associated with the use of these methods. Learn about the required training for personnel on the use of preventative & de-escalation techniques, the warning signs of the use of restraint techniques, and tips for parents to address behavior in school.

What is an IEP Clinic?

An IEP Clinic is a designated appointment time to meet with your Regional Coordinator. There are different ways your Regional Coordinator may assist you at an IEP Clinic.
Some ways are:

  • To learn what the ARD process is like
  • To review your child’s IEP
  • Help you determine what you want for your child and how to achieve it
  • Help you understand what your rights are under IDEA
