10:15 am: Vocational Rehabilitation Services – Join Jenna Hall with the Vocational Rehabilitation Services program for an overview of how the program serves disabled Texans, including youth, ages 14-22. VR Services for youth and students can help prepare them for post-secondary education and/or employment through job exploration counseling, work-based learning experiences, workplace readiness training as well as instruction in self-advocacy. Learn about the scope of services that are a part of the program in her presentation. Jenna Hall is the Community Outreach and Awareness Specialist for Texas Workforce Solu¬tions – Vocational Rehabilitation Services (TWS-VRS) in the West Texas/Panhandle region. Jenna attended the University of Texas at Austin where she received her bachelor’s degree in sociology and has been with the agency for a little over a year.
11:30 am: Medicaid Waiver Programs – Description & discussion over the many different waiver programs available to those in the IDD community. The requirements to qualify for each program will be discussed along with what each program offers the individual. Easter Worrell is the Lead Crisis Intervention Specialist at Texas Panhandle Centers for the IDD community. She has have worked at TPC for 7 and a half years. Easter has over twenty years’ experience working with the IDD community. She graduated in December 2020 with a Masters in Social Work from WTAMU.
