Virtual: Understanding Trauma and the Nervous System-Supporting Ourselves and Our Children
Join us as we talk about Understanding Trauma and the Nervous System: Supporting Ourselves and Our Children.
Our own experiences, stress, and nervous systems often shape how we connect with and support others and children. Trauma is not always the result of a single major event; ongoing stress, adverse experiences, and even patterns passed through generations can impact the brain, body, and behavior. In this presentation, we will explore the science of trauma, nervous system regulation, resilience, and the connection between mental and physical health. Drawing from neuroscience and trauma-informed approaches, including EMDR, parents will gain practical tools to better understand themselves and their children, strengthen connection, and support healing within the family.
