Join us as we talk about When Behavior Leads to Discipline: Understanding MDRs and Student Protections.
When a student with a disability faces disciplinary action, families may have questions about the process, their child’s rights, and what happens next. This session will explain the purpose of a Manifestation Determination Review, when one may be required, and how the ARD committee considers whether a behavior is connected to the student’s disability or the implementation of the IEP. Families will also learn about important student protections, educational services, behavior supports, and questions they can ask during the process.
