Parent Leadership Training with Andrea Amosson
Empower yourself as a parent of a child with disabilities through our Parent Leadership Training program. This intensive training is designed to equip parents with the knowledge and skills to actively participate in their child’s education and effectively collaborate during Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings. After completing this training, Parent Leaders are considered volunteers for Partners Resource Network. Volunteer opportunities will be discussed during the training.
Rooted in research and focused on fostering facilitative ARD practices, this program will cover essential topics, including:
- Developing leadership skills
- Understanding IDEA and Procedural Safeguards
- Navigating IEP/ARD components
- Planning for transitions
- Exploring early childhood education services
- Insights into Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act
