Join us as we talk about Section 504.
This training will provide an overview of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Participants will learn that schools have an obligation to prevent discrimination based on disability, to provide equal opportunity to all students, and to provide FAPE (Free Appropriate Public Education) to each qualified student with a disability. The definition of disability will be explained and the identification process for the 504 Plan will be explored.
